"I had just finished reading the first book in this trilogy (“Reckless Beginnings”) and immediately jumped right into the second one. Tammy Mellows is one strong and determined woman! After her disastrous marriage to Steven, I was thrilled when she found love with Dwayne.

I loved the point in Tammy’s life when she took stock of what her love for alcohol robbed her of. Grant laid out a raw accounting of Tammy’s life.

And my admiration grew as I read of the unbelievably hard work she endured when she decided to help him fish for lobsters. Grant’s superb writing made me feel as though I was right there in the boat with Tammy and Dwayne. My heart was pounding as they battled their way through a tremendous storm. Can she prove herself in the world of commercial fishing, a world dominated by men? With Dwayne at her side, Tammy discovers just what she is truly capable of doing.
